Nasi lemak is a Malay cuisine dish consisting of fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. It is commonly found in Malaysia, where it is considered the national dish; it is also the native dish in neighbouring areas with significant Malay populations such as Singapore; Brunei. Awalnya, nasi lemak dijadikan bekal bagi para petani maupun pekerja perkebunan.
Bahan Membuat Nasi Lemak Ungu
- 2 cup Beras basmati (kebetulan ada).
- 600 ml Air rebusan bunga telang (air sesuaikan biasanya masak nasi).
- 65 gr Santan kental.
- 4 btr Bawang merah iris.
- 1 btr Bawang putih iris.
- 2 btg Daun kari (temuru / salam koja).
- 2 lbr Daun jeruk robek².
- 2 lbr Daun salam.
- 2 lbr Daun pandan.
- 2 cm Jahe geprek.
- 3 cm Lengkuas geprek.
- 1 sdt Garam.
- 1/2 sdt Kaldu bubuk.
- Secukupnya minyak untuk menumis.
Langkah Memasak Nasi Lemak Ungu
- Rendam beras ±30 menit, tiriskan, masukkan dlm pot rice cooker, masukkan sereh, daun salam, daun pandan, jahe, lengkuas, garam, kaldu bubuk, air bunga telang dan santan aduk rata.

- Tumis bawang merah, bawang putih, daun kari sampau harum, masukkan ke pot rice cooker yg sdh berisi beras, aduk rata, masak sampai matang.
- Aduk rata nasi, buang rempah nya, nasi lemak siap disajikan dgn teman² nya 😉.
