Cendol has been declared a Malaysian heritage food by the Malaysian Department of National Heritage. Cendol is type of traditional dessert often served in Malaysia,Indonesia and parts of Singapore, Thailand and Burma. It consists of small green jelly-like noodles sweetened with palm.
Bahan Membuat Cendol
- 4 buah Tepung hunkwe.
- 1200 ml air.
- Sejumput garam.
- 1 kg gula aren.
- 1/2 kg gula pasir.
- Buah Nangka (potong kecil2).
- 1000 ml santan kental.
- Daun pandan.
- Garam.
Langkah Memasak Cendol
- Masak gula aren dan gula pasir tambahkan sedikit air, aduk hingga mendidih dan mengental, ankat tambahkan irisan buah nangka.
- Untuk dawet, larutkan hunkwe dgn 1200 ml air aduk, hidupkan kompor aduk2 lagi smpe mendidih, tambahkan 1/2sdt garam, lalu saring dengan saringan yg berlubang besar di wadah yg sudah diberi air dingin.
- Didihkan santan kental di tambah sedikit garam dan daun pandan, angkat dinginkan, kemudian campur dawet dan santan, aduk. Ambil mangkok kecil ditambah gula dan es, hidangkan.
